<lj:music>Danger Zone - Kenny Loggins</lj:music>

The basic idea is Chaos and Gadget more or less share an intimate moment one night in the generator room.

Missouri has Chaos take Gadget some food one night (enough food for both of them, but doesn't tell him that). Between in close proximity, with mingling scents and Gadget slowly and awkwardly getting things started... and his curiosity gets the better of him.

And I'm starting to think this where Chaos finally realizes his love for Gadget.

*L* Yes, I know, the generator room is not the greatest spot in the world.

“Who are you calling a coward?” Gadget demanded with a loud roar. “If anybody is, it's you!”

As she charged, Chaos shifted to the right and caught her wild swing. Using her momentum, he quickly twisted and rolled Gadget over his shoulder before slamming her hard into the ground. Uttering a deep growl, he quickly snapped, “Just what is your damn problem with me?”

Snarling, Gadget quickly reached over, grabbed both of Chaos's ankles before giving a hard yank. Feeling a bit of grim satisfaction as he fell hard on his back, she quickly straddled him before landing a quartet of savage punches to the face. A moment later, the world exploded into white as he landed a vicious left hook to underside of her beak.

Slamming his forearm into her chest, Chaos roughly pushed Gadget off. Reeling from the blows, he winced. Damn, she packs a mean punch! I need to find a way to bring this to an end; I don't how much longer I can hold back. Not waiting for her to react, he landed a hard backhanded blow to her beak with his right hand before he clapped his hands over both of her ears.

Taking a few steps back, Gadget tried to regain her sense of balance. After a few seconds, she quickly tackled him to the ground. As they rolled around trading various blows, part of her felt angry that Chaos was fighting back while another part felt a growing attraction to him for doing so. I can't be attracted to this boy! I just can't be! Eyes flaring red once again, she gave a quick shove and then lashed out with her talons and tore through his shirt. She cracked a small smile upon seeing she had drawn blood.

Son of a bitch! Without a second thought, Chaos tore apart his ripped shirt and hazarded a quick look at the wound. He noted that it was nothing more than a few scratches that has drawn a little blood. Eyes flaring white, he quickly hit Gadget with a trio of hard punches. The first one connected with the left side of her face; the second was to the gut. And the last one, for reasons he didn't understand, squarely nailed her left breast.

Yeah, just a random part from the scene where Chaos and Gadget finally duke it out.

Twisting to the right, Gadget attempted to avoid Chaos's slashing maneuver. After feeling her top get tugged to the right, she jumped back several feet and looked down. Seeing that both of her breasts were now partially exposed didn't bother her in the slightest, but the fact the clothing was torn increased her anger level. “This was my favorite tank top!”

“Stop acting like such a little girl!” Chaos quickly snapped as he dropped back into a defensive stance instead of pressing the attack.

Eyes flaring red once again, Gadget yelled, “Who are you calling a little girl?” After crouching, she jumped at him with arms out stretched. And just as quickly, she was more than surprised when Chaos grabbed her wrists while rolling onto his back. A second later, she felt a foot get planted into her stomach before getting launched across the room.

Stumbling as he got up, Chaos tried to ignore the pain from his protesting wings and tail. Turning, he felt a bit of relief that he hadn't sent her crashing into the ceiling. As she staggered to her feet, he wondered just how long this fight would last. I don't want to hurt her too badly, but that might happen if this drags on too long. Just what in the hell am I supposed to do?

Damn, that hurt! Gadget quietly swore as she looked down and noted both of her breasts were now bruised from the hard landing. Wincing as she turned around, she grumbled at the fact the rest of her chest hurt as well. I can't keep this up for too much longer, he's stronger than I am. And I certainly didn't expect him to play this rough either! Growling, she advanced slowly. “You're going to pay for this!”

“Hey, I didn't start this!” Chaos thundered loudly. “And being the coward you are, you attacked me without warning!”

“Who are you calling a coward?” Gadget demanded with a loud roar.

I've been trying to work on the "Glass Shards" scene lately. Ok, I need to come up with a better name for it, obviously. At first I thought it was going to be a short one, but I've started on page 6. And I've got a nasty hunch it will be the first part in a three-part story arc. Got to love it when a stand alone scene turns into something else all together.

At least the muse is trying to cooperate for a change. *L* Better than it was at the Gathering.

Time for a small snippet from the scene before I sack out:

After he retrieved a couple bottles of Guinness from the refrigerator, Falcon studied the rather decent sized discoloration on the side of Chaos's beak. “Hey bro, how did you get that bruise on your face?”

“Oh, this thing? A bit of a present from when Gadget socked me earlier.” Grimacing, Chaos wished dawn would hurry up so he wouldn't have to answer that question any more. “I called her cute and you can see how well that went over.”

Letting out a low whistle, Falcon shook his head. “You are far braver than I than I ever gave credit for.”

“Uh, what?” Chaos asked, suddenly feeling confused. Is he yanking my chain again? Tossing the bottle cap aside and taking a quick sip, he turned. “What do you mean brave?”

“Well, I thought it would have been obvious. She hates being called cute.” After taking a sip of his own drink, Falcon wondered how Chaos could bother drinking this particular one. “Gadget got teased a lot when she was younger by Swan and a few others. Mostly ended up getting called ugly along with some other, eh, not so kind comments.”

Well, I made it here in one piece on Thursday evening. I spent most of yesterday helping either Patrick at the registration desk or trying to sort out and display all of the stuff we got for the auction. *L* We had so much stuff, we ran out of room on the tables. Plus I think it took the better part of two or three hours to get it all condensed and set the minimum price for auction. After that was done, I spent time helping Cindy keep watch of the room or help selling of the Gargoyles graphic novels (I now own Gargoyles Vol. 1 & 2 and Bad Guys).

While she did the receipts, I was making the change since I was still awake enough to do all the needed math in my head. *L* At least I don't have to deal with pennies. I'm going to spend most of today helping out Cindy at the art/ dealers table again. I'll make an attempt to get some writing done as well... with any luck.

Ok, it's about 9:15, so time for me go take a shower and then head out for some breakfast.

Well, not yet. It just sank in the Gathering is right around the corner... and I'm not even remotely ready yet. I still need to start packing, do one more recycling run for cash tomorrow (cans), go to the bank to find out the story on the PIN for my debit card (something they were going to mail me back in May) and deposit my change. Oh yeah, copy some story files to the laptop to work on if I get the chance (both C&G's story and maybe some stuff dealing with Shaun Pup). Plus need to hit the barber to get the hair cut too.

I took in the plastic bottles I had been saving up last Friday and got $42.05 for those. And try to track down some spare batteries for the camera.

While it was bad enough you were over an hour late, but taking a lunch without saying anything and caring more about the tips than cleaning did not earn you any brownie points today. Come Monday, I'm going to have a chat with the manager who I already called about you being tardy for the 2nd time in 2 weeks.

No love at all,

Me.

---

Yes, today was the 2nd time in 2 weeks where he's been over 45 minutes late without so much as a phone call saying he's running late. Once I got a hold of him after 45 minutes, I called the manager and told her what was going on and suggested she needed to have a talk with him. I'll have to bring up taking a break and tip thing too. And just like one of my other coworkers, I had to nag him today to get things done! Oy.

Today I more or less got a semi-official word that I might not be employed at the end of September or October. Our sales are a just over half of what they were. Between a new location opening up where we did a number of deliveries and the state worker furloughs... we're more or less screwed. I so did not want something like this to pop up before the Gathering.

Ugh, if I had the money I would move out of this blasted state....

And then fins out how much I'm going to get soaked to get 'em yanked. Good news is that I found out earlier in the week is that they can set up and take payment plans. Thankfully that still allows me to save up money for the Gathering at the same time. Going to be a bit on tight side this year, but still doable.

And I'm off... *zips out*

Yeah, still bouncing back from the stomach issues. No longer have the burning feeling down in the stomach, just some minor pain from time to time as things heal up.

In other news, I went out to Castle Air Museum (next to the former Castle AFB, which has B-52s based there). Today was an open cockpit day, so you could poke your head into some of the old birds such as a B-36, B-52D, and a few other large birds. Also you could climb up and look into several fighter planes too. And even take a peek into a SR-71.

Pics can be found here (all 109): http://www.shaunpup2.com/gallery2/v/castle1/

More of an actual update to come later.

Yeah, last Friday night I started to suffer a few attacks while I was sleeping. Was fine Saturday and Monday night. Sunday night and last night, I got clobbered by about 4 or 5 attacks while sleeping. Nothing quite like waking up to a racing heart...

Managed to snag an appointment today even though my primary doctor is out of town. Yours truly now has to take an anti-anxiety drug (Clonazepam 0.5 mg) for the next two weeks to see if that helps get things under control. I hope it helps bring the attacks to an end and helps me relax enough that the few pulled muscles also get a chance to heal.

Ok, I think the drowsiness effect is catching up to me... z z z z z

Well, I'm no longer taking Pepcid since starting Thursday evening I started to get clobbered by the side effects. In this case, a few light headaches (which I can deal with), but also started having to deal with some dizziness and dry mouth. And yesterday, that came to a halt after the drug made me puke.

Did a phone appt. with one of the weekend doctors and it was decided that I should stop taking the Pepcid since I was getting hammered by too many side effects. Now I'm on Prilosec with orders that if my gut doesn't feel better in a week, I'll have to go in for more tests (the blood work and stool sample turned up negative for a number of things). Feh, I just want to feel and be better...
